ABOUT
OUR STORY
Concerts for Compassion began in 2017 as a dream shared by two Juilliard violinists to transform music into a tool for empathy and understanding. Motivated by their personal experiences with racial and cultural tensions, Jocelyn and Mariella envisioned a way to bridge divides through the universal language of music.
Their mission started with a bold journey—playing in U.S. Embassies and refugee camps across Europe. Through their performances, they didn’t just share music but also stories: stories of how artists and composers have confronted prejudice and oppression, and how beauty and art can heal and inspire. Concerts for Compassion believes in the power of music to break stereotypes, erase boundaries, and foster a shared humanity. Whether in a living room, a concert hall, or a refugee camp, they strive to ignite the same magic—a universal connection that transcends differences.
